Practical sustainability support for your organisation
GreenerFuture Leicestershire began as a regional initiative to help organisations understand their environmental impact, strengthen their sustainability strategy and take confident, evidence-based action. Although the funded advisory service has now concluded, the tools created through the programme remain available for any organisation that wants clear, credible guidance.
The site was originally designed with Leicestershire's predominantly small and medium-sized enterprises in mind. However, the challenges we address are shared across the UK and are freely available.
Over 300 organisations used the service while it was active. Their questions, barriers and priorities directly shaped the tools that now remain for wider use. Everything on this site has been developed with input from academic experts, business practitioners and real-world data. The aim is simple; to give you practical support that saves time, reduces uncertainty and helps you make meaningful progress.
Many of our most popular tools and resources remain freely available so that you can continue progressing on your sustainability journey.

Public perceptions have shifted, and environmental considerations now play a key role in decision-making. The question isn't if your business needs to adapt—it's when.
Acting now will help your business:
- Stay competitive by meeting emerging sustainability and supply-chain standards
- Future-proof operations by preparing for evolving regulations
- Strengthen your brand and reputation with transparent sustainability action
- Improve efficiency through cost-saving and resource-saving measures
- Communicate commitments clearly using structured templates and guidance
Whether you're beginning your sustainability journey or refining established practices, the platform still offers practical, easy-to-use support.
It was in 2023 that we implemented our first carbon reduction plan and fully looked into it. This has helped us as a company identify small areas where we can make quick and efficient changes. We've also been able to implement processes to ensure that every change we make keeps sustainability at the forefront.
